Our patients have often reached a point where they feel they have run out of options. Many have spent years living with anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD or other complex mental health conditions, trying multiple medications and therapies with little success. By the time they reach us, they are looking for a clinician willing to listen, think differently and explore another evidence based treatment option. You could be the clinician that changes that. We are Montu UK, one of the UK's largest medical cannabis clinics, and we are looking for Consultant Psychiatrists to join our clinical team. About the role You will assess and manage patients exploring cannabis based medicines, making the clinical decision on whether treatment is appropriate and managing their care from there. This is an evolving area of medicine where the evidence base continues to grow, giving you the opportunity to contribute to a field that is developing rapidly. You do not need previous experience with cannabis based medicines. We are looking for experienced Psychiatrists with excellent clinical judgement, curiosity and an open minded approach to patient care. We provide comprehensive specialist training, and our multidisciplinary model means you are never working in isolation. Nurses and pharmacists complete pre consultation and follow up prescribing tasks, allowing you to focus on clinical decision making and delivering outstanding patient care. What you will be doing: - Provide high quality care for patients seeking medical cannabis treatment. - Conduct patient consultations, including assessment and ongoing management. - Engage in clinical outcome data collection to support evidence based practices. - Contribute to clinical governance and maintain robust patient care standards. - Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, including nurses and pharmacists. - Participate in ongoing training and professional development, including bespoke specialist training in cannabis based medicines (CBMPs).
