As a nurturing university community, we challenge students, faculty, staff, and administration to fully realize their highest academic, professional, and personal potential.* **Position Description Summary/Purpose:** Goodwin University is seeking a psychology professional to serve as a consultant to help develop the proposed new online Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Applied Psychology program, including its Forensic Psychology and Human Services tracks. The consultant will research and design the curriculum, prepare the program for university approval, and partner with academic leadership, possible internship sites, and advisory groups to ensure the program reflects current disciplinary standards, workforce needs, and best practices in online learning. This work may develop into an opportunity for a permanent Program Director position. **Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities:** *(The essential functions or duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position.)* - Research, evaluate, and prepare recommendations on future curricula for a new online B.S. in Applied Psychology program, including its Forensic Psychology and Human Services tracks. - Develop partnerships with advisory and workforce groups to gain knowledge of competency areas and to relate curriculum materials to specific career skills, individual student needs, occupational areas, and disciplinary knowledge. - Ensure that core courses are developed and maintained according to applicable accreditation, certification, or other requirements. - Write and finalize the B.S. in Applied Psychology program outcomes, curriculum, assessments, and other related materials to submit for the university approval process. - Work with the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE) to develop course and program assessments that evaluate student learning and the effectiveness of instructional strategies and methods to achieve learning outcomes. - Work directly with an instructional designer to develop or redevelop online courses for the program, based on best instructional design practices and aligned with UDL guidelines. - Consult with academic leadership to ensure that program components and parameters fit within the school’s mission and career-readiness outcomes. - Conducts all work in a safe manner and all work safety practices are followed. **Other Functions**: - Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation dictates. - Continues professional development and training; keeps current with trends. - Assists other department staff as needed to promote a team effort. **Knowledge, Ability and Skills** - Demonstrated commitment to promote inclusive and equitable educational practices, and work in an environment in which all members of the University community are treated with respect and dignity. - Knowledge of curriculum design, instructional strategies, and assessment within applied psychology and related concentrations of forensic psychology and human services. - Experience with developing online courses in a Learning Management System (LMS), such as Canvas. - Familiarity with best practices in online synchronous and asynchronous program development and delivery including Universal Design for Learning (UDL; CAST, 2024) practices. - The ability to foster collaboration among faculty as well as externally with community organizations and field-based partners. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. **Minimum Required Qualifications:** - Earned Mast…
