We're looking for a Construction Project Manager who enjoys leading projects, collaborating with homeowners, and stepping in when skilled hands are needed on the jobsite. If you take pride in quality work, communicate well with clients and trade partners, and enjoy seeing projects through from start to finish, we'd love to hear from you. ## **What You'll Do** In this hybrid role, you'll manage residential remodeling projects while providing hands-on carpentry support when needed. Your responsibilities include: - Manage multiple residential remodeling projects from pre-construction through completion - Coordinate schedules, subcontractors, suppliers, and material deliveries - Communicate regularly with homeowners to provide project updates and ensure an exceptional client experience - Monitor budgets, schedules, and project progress - Conduct site visits to verify quality, safety, and jobsite organization - Collaborate with the design, production, and field teams throughout construction - Assist with change orders, project documentation, and problem resolution - Perform finish carpentry, cabinetry installation, trim work, and other skilled carpentry tasks as needed - Mentor field team members and help maintain SJ Janis' high standards of craftsmanship ## **What We're Looking For** - 8+ years of residential remodeling, construction management, or high-end carpentry experience - Experience managing residential remodeling projects from start to finish - Strong finish carpentry skills, including trim, cabinetry, millwork, and detailed installations - Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional quality - Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills - Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications - Experience using construction management software and mobile technology - Commitment to jobsite safety and professionalism - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation ## **What Success Looks Like** In this role, you will: - Deliver projects that meet SJ Janis' standards for craftsmanship and quality - Keep projects organized, on schedule, and within budget - Build strong relationships with homeowners, subcontractors, and team members - Solve challenges proactively while maintaining a positive client experience - Support the continued growth of the company through dependable leadership and exceptional workmanship ## **Compensation & Benefits** - **$40-$44 per hour**, based on experience - Vehicle allowance - Cell phone allowance - Additional allowance for approved vehicle branding - Health insurance with company contribution toward individual coverage - Two weeks of paid vacation available upon hire - Opportunity to work on some of southeastern Wisconsin's premier luxury remodeling projects ## **Why Join SJ Janis?** - Join a company with more than 75 years of excellence in residential remodeling - Work on distinctive custom renovations and luxury homes - Be part of a collaborative, quality-driven team - Enjoy a role that combines leadership with hands-on craftsmanship - Build a long-term career with opportunities for professional growth ## **How to Apply** If you're an experienced remodeling professional who enjoys leading projects while staying involved in the craft, we'd love to hear from you.
