Construction Pipelayer- Berryville, VA

D.L. George and Sons Construction is seeking Pipelayers with a minimum of 2 years utility installation (preferred). Must possess a general knowledge of underground utility installation, excavation and trench safety. Pipelayer Responsibilities and Duties: Installation of water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer piping Ensure subgrade and piping is on grade and on line Familiarity with pipe lasers and pressure testing equipment Assist in backfilling and running compaction equipment Ability to rig shoring systems and structures Pipelayer Qualifications and Skills: The Construction Pipelayer must have good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination and balance. They must be able to read and understand warning signs and labels on a construction site, be able to interpret plans, drawings, and written instructions and specifications. They should be capable of working as a member of a team and have basic problem-solving and math skills. They must possess the knowledge and ability to operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Assigned tasks may require climbing, bending, lifting, sitting, and reaching. D.L.
