Join us. ## Job Description **AECOM** is seeking a Construction Engineer to support aviation projects, including airport runways, taxiways, and related infrastructure located in the Hunt Valley, MD area. This position involves on-site documentation, and coordination to ensure construction work complies with project plans, specifications, and applicable aviation standards. **Responsibilities include but are not limited to:** - Under general supervision, performs routine duties - Manage construction projects, including coordinating schedules, budgets, quality, safety, and field operations - Displays knowledge and abilities to evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to meet basic engineering and construction specifications - Displays applications of sound professional judgment on details of work - Independently performs walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to assure conformance with specifications and design - Performs quantity surveys for tracking and reporting - May provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors - Maintain comprehensive on-site documentation, including daily reports, inspection logs, and construction records in compliance with aviation standards and regulatory requirements - Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and adherence to project schedules - Process and track Requests for Information (RFIs) and change orders, ensuring proper documentation and approval workflows - Conduct material testing and quality assurance inspections to verify compliance with project specifications and industry standards - Monitor and report on construction progress, including milestone achievement and budget tracking, to project management and clients ## Qualifications **Minimum Requirements:** - BA/BS plus 2 years of related experience, or AS Degree plus 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education - Valid U.S Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.
