Job Skills / Requirements Job Summary M-F Temporary 5:30am - 3pm $60/hr. Scope of Responsibility Position Summary The Construction Cleanup Specialist is responsible for transforming active or recently completed construction sites into clean, safe, and move-in-ready spaces. This role involves heavy-duty cleaning across various phases of construction—from rough debris removal during building to fine-detail polishing before final handover to clients. Key Responsibilities Rough & Final Clean: Remove large debris, lumber scraps, drywall remnants, and hazardous materials from the site. Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors to prepare for final detailing. Surface Preparation: Scraping and removing paint overspray, drywall mud, adhesive residue, and stickers from windows, glass, fixtures, and appliances. Detail Cleaning: Dust and wipe down all surfaces, including ceilings, walls, light fixtures, baseboards, vents, and inside cabinetry. Polish chrome, stainless steel, and porcelain fixtures. Window & Glass Care: Thoroughly clean interior and exterior windows, tracks, and frames. Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA standards and site-specific safety regulations, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and high-visibility vests. Equipment Operation: Safely operate heavy-duty cleaning equipment, including industrial shop vacuums, floor buffers, and pressure washers. Skills/Experience: Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job. Must meet minimum age requirements. Integrity and ability to work independently or as a team. Housekeeping, cleaning, personal care aid, or janitorial experience preferred. Required Qualifications & Physical Requirements Osha 10 Left Certificate Previous experience in commercial cleaning, construction cleanup, or general labor preferred but not required. Ability to perform continuous physical labor, including heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs consistently), bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for long periods. Comfortable working in dusty, noisy, and active construction environments, as well as working at heights on ladders or scaffolding if necessary. Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a solid understanding of workplace safety. Reliable transportation to various job sites is required.
