Additional Information: Show/Hide 2026-2027 School Year Confidential Payroll/Benefits Coordinator 12-Month Position QUALIFICATIONS: • High School diploma required; • Experience as a payroll coordinator or in a similar position preferred • Demonstrates excellent computer skills, proficiency in oral and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; • Able to maintain confidentiality as required and appropriate; • Familiarity with Systems 3000 PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages the end-to-end processing of all district payrolls, ensuring accurate calculation and timely disbursement, including all elective, non-elective deductions, and wage garnishments. Prepares and remits payroll deduction reports and payments to relevant external agencies, maintaining detailed and compliant records. Prepares and submits all required federal, state, and local payroll compliance reports and tax forms (e.g., quarterly 941s, annual W-2s). Maintains accurate financial records and transaction logs for the Payroll, Agency, and Trust Fund Accounts. Administers and manages all employee health, prescription, and dental benefits, including enrollments, terminations, and changes in coverage. Serves as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits and tax-sheltered annuities, providing open enrollment support and resolving coverage issues with external providers. Maintains employee benefit eligibility records, including tracking benefits for employees on unpaid leave and managing non-waiver and non-benefits eligible lists ensuring accurate record-keeping. Administers TPAF and PERS member enrollment and certification processes in conjunction with the NJ Division of Pensions & Benefits (NJDPB). Ensures accurate data integrity of employee pension type and wages for all employees to ensure correct monthly/quarterly reporting and proper FICA billing. Provides employment verifications for credit checks on employees. Performs other duties assigned by the Superintendent or School Business Administrator/Board Secretary.
