Position Summary: Responsible for processing Computer Works (CW) goods and keeping equipment emptied for transportation flow according to GWH policy, and ensuring the efficient and cost-effective operation and stewardship of the outlet store and donation center to maximize profitability for mission services funding. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure alignment and consistency of all aspects of the CW store operations. Process donated goods efficiently and effectively based on GWH’s needs and adapt to changes in commodities processing as assigned. Bale merchandise, identify and demonstrate understanding of items that can be baled together or items that cannot be baled but should be processed separately. Assist with quality control assurance. As assigned, sort and process merchandise with a sense of urgency. Assist in the efficient movement of goods on the dock or production areas, and when loading and unloading trucks with the aid of material handling equipment as needed. Sort products into appropriate salvage, recycling, and trash based on current commodity expectations. Operate assigned material handling equipment in a safe and prudent manner in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and GWH safety policies and procedures. Maintain the processing area in a neat and clean condition. Use safe work procedures and personal protective equipment as required (i.e., lifting, use of proper equipment, etc.) and report incidents and injuries immediately to a supervisor. Perform other duties as directed by management to support evolving organizational needs. Additional Responsibilities: Demonstrate professionalism, good judgment, and present a friendly, cooperative attitude. Ability to multitask, make quick decisions, adapt to change, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Adheres to all GWH Policies & Procedures, Loss Prevention & Safety Regulations, and GWH Guiding Principles. Must be punctual, maintain a professional appearance, and perform expected duties. Must perform all duties according to GWH safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping standards, and ensure all walkways are clear and free of clutter. Adheres to local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to understand safety instructions, standard operating procedures, and workplace communications. Ability to work independently. Must have reliable transportation. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for current or future employment. GWH does not offer visa sponsorship for employment purposes. Key Performance Indicators: Ensure proper sorting of goods & salvage products. Proper breakdown of PC equipment. Ensure proper and safe loading and stacking of products. Ensure correct labeling of salvage product. Maximize profit by maximizing salvage revenue with outgoing product. Physical Requirements/Work Environment: Regular twisting, bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and, occasionally, lift/move items up to 100 lbs.
