Computer Scientist I

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges. ***What You Will Do with JT4*** The **Computer Scientist I** will design and program software that supports flight test operations by creating software to automate tasks, including scheduling, test operations and other programming using Microsoft automation tools and in-house source code. **JOB SUMMARY - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** - Interact with customers and assist with the interpretation of customer requirements - Moderate coding skills in Python, SQL, C, C#, ASP Classic, and .NET Framework (WPF) - Use judgment and initiative in developing analytical and computational technologies and methodologies for problem solving and advise team and project managers on technical problems - Work with team members to develop the most appropriate approach to solve technical problems - Implement design through software coding, assist in the design of system/software, create appropriate design documentation and team reviews - Plan and execute unit, integration, and system testing - Assist in maintenance and sustainment activities of system/software - Perform other job-related duties, as required create **ADDITIONAL STRENGTHS** - Understanding of Operational Relational Mappers - HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL Queries, Django - Python Programming **REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE** A bachelor’s degree in associated discipline is required for this position. In addition, a Computer Scientist I must possess the following qualifications: - Knowledge of computer-based systems and applications - Programming skills in languages used for job-specific programming tasks - Familiarity with systems engineering and software development lifecycles - Effective verbal and written communication skills - Good planning/organizational skills - Ability to work under deadlines - Must possess a valid, state issued driver’s license. - Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance. - Must be a U.S. citizen. **SALARY** The expected salary range for this position is $122,408 to $150,000 annually. **Note:** The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay.
