Compounding Pharmacy Technician - Animal Health

We are seeking a Medication Mixing Technician to join our team. In this role, you will help support our mission by ensuring high-quality execution of daily responsibilities, maintaining accuracy, and contributing to a collaborative environment focused on patient care and continuous improvement. **The Basics** **Location:** Bakersfield, CA (Onsite) **Job Type:** Full Time, Temporary to Hire (Temp-to-Hire) **Schedule:** Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm **Compensation:** $23.00/hour **Benefits:** Eligible **How You’ll Make an Impact** - Prepares prescriptions for dispensing by the pharmacist and fills stock replacements. - Makes requisitions for drugs and supplies with professional guidance from the pharmacist. - Orders, receives, and maintains inventory of drugs and chemicals, and ensures their security. - Helps maintain an orderly, clean environment including cleanliness of pharmacy stock and supplies. - Enters data into the computer system, recording prescriptions, purchase orders, stock orders, requisitions, and disbursements. - Under direction of pharmacist, removes unneeded or outdated drugs from stock and prepares for return or disposal. - Performs general clerical duties for the department. **What We’re Looking For** - High School Diploma or GED - California State Pharmacy Technician License Required - Experience in manufacturing, production, or compounding preferred - Strong attention to detail and quality standards - Ability to follow formulas, procedures, and batch instructions - Comfortable working with chemicals used in compounding - Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills - Ability to stay focused in a production environment - Positive, team-oriented attitude - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds - Ability to stand and work in a lab/production setting **What You’ll Love About Wedgewood** • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits • Medical, dental, vision and voluntary benefit coverages • Company Paid Life Insurance and disability coverage • 401(k) retirement plan with generous company contribution • Paid time off that increases every year • Tuition reimbursement opportunities • Strong internal promotion and career development programs • A supportive, team-first culture where your work matters • The opportunity to improve animal health every day **Why We Do What We Do** At Wedgewood Pharmacy, your work has purpose.
