## Overview JOB PREVIEW - LEFT BLANK - TEST ## Description TEST TEST TEST TEST The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for the preparation of initial and annual recertifications for all residents in full compliance with HUD and LIHTC regulations. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** - Maintain property waiting list - Process all new move-in files. - Completes all certifications/recertifications within 120-day timeframe. Ensure that property remains in file-compliance at all times. - Coordinate on-site data collections and processing of resident information - Schedule resident recertification interviews - Insure proper calculation of income, assets, rent levels, etc. - Coordinate apartment inspections for recertification’s - Maintain resident files in accordance with company policy & regulatory agency policy - Assist office staff on other tasks, including collection of rent and social activities - Assist with the several administrative and leasing tasks - Perform other duties that may arise ## Requirements TEST TEST TEST TEST **Qualifications:** Candidate must be able to be a creative thinker, work in a fast paced environment, have good attention to detail, and be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, One-Site Property Management Software and Internet. - Required certifications: COS, TCS or HCCP - The successful candidate should have 2+ years property management experience - Knowledge of Affordable Housing (LIHTC, Section 8, Section 236), Annual Re-certifications, LIHTC Compliance Regulations, and Leasing. - Strong customer service skills. - Previous knowledge of Onesite property management software is also preferred **Education:** High school diploma or equivalent is required. The position also requires the ability to read and write English and the ability to accurately perform intermediate mathematical functions. **Professional Experience:** A minimum of three (2) years experience in residential property management or a related field is required. **Attendance/Travel Requirements:** The position requires the ability to work any of the seven days of the week, 52 weeks of the year. Due to the property staffing limitations, it is extremely critical that individuals be able to work their scheduled hours on a consistent basis and, if necessary, overtime hours when requested. Travel may be required at times to attend various owner gatherings either in the general vicinity of the associates home property, or in another state. You must also be able to attend certain resident events that are held after hours. **Computer skills:** - Minimum of basic knowledge of computers - Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and OneSite - Intermediate knowledge of the Internet **Learning & Development:** Maintain a commitment to ongoing personal development and career growth though career path activities provided through the corporate office and external sources as needed.
