**Job Description:** **Job Summary:** Works closely with the EHS Managers to conduct facility inspections and audit safety programs. Systematically recognizes and records health, safety, and environmental hazards at all facilities. Contributes to environmental reports and regulatory programs including SPCC, RCRA, and SWPPP. Maintains records of air emissions. Ensures compliance with permit conditions through regular inspection and corrective action. Develops and implements solutions to compliance gaps in accordance with OSHA, DEQ, EPA, DOT, NFPA local, state and federal regulations through collaboration with other departments and teams. Coordinates and facilitates environmental, health, and safety training. Develops new training materials as needed. Maintains environmental, health, and safety records as dictated by law and internal policies. Maintains and updates company policies and written programs related to environmental health and safety topics. **Essential Responsibilities/Activities** - Supports EHS Managers by writing, revising, and maintaining policies and programs. - Coordinates with each facility’s EHS team to evaluate and track programs. - Prepares reports for submission to corporate or regulatory bodies. - Develops resources for safety and environmental compliance audits. - Requires up to 25% overnight travel to out-of-state work sites to conduct audits, gather data, or otherwise support the EHS team. - Inspects equipment, machinery, work areas and processes to observe and document possible unsafe conditions. - Embodies the EHS Team Vision for engagement of a corporate safety culture, which strives to educate, inform and collaborate with all levels of the AAON, Inc. organization. **Minimum Requirements:** - Bachelor of Science degree in a related field and minimum 2 years of experience in environmental, health and safety required. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required - Knowledge of Environmental Regulations and OSHA standards required. - Experience managing Title V Air Permits strongly preferred - Experience in a lean manufacturing environment a plus. - Experience with continuous improvement a plus. **Essential Skills and Mental Functions:** - Ability to interpret technical documents and reference the code of federal regulations. - Excellent writing skills and Microsoft computer proficiency. - Ability and desire to constantly learn new processes and apply new information. - Strategic thinker with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to diplomatically communicate constructive criticism - Initiative in pursuing appropriate, timely, and effective solutions to complex issues - Ability to respond with flexibility to time sensitive issues and multi-task. - Ability to speak to medium-sized group of employees - Ability to work both independently and as a team **Essential Physical Functions:** This position requires sitting for long periods of time. This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary. The ability to walk continuously through manufacturing and warehouse facilities for up to 3 miles is required. Ability to climb up and down a ladder or use steps required.
