At PPTNM, the Community Outreach Lead Health Educator plays a vital role in expanding access to medically accurate, culturally responsive sexuality and reproductive health education throughout West Tennessee and North Mississippi, with a priority focus on LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities. Reporting to the Manager, Education, this role is responsible for delivering high-quality educational programs, building meaningful community partnerships, and connecting individuals with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions about their health and well-being. Success in this position requires strong communication and facilitation skills, cultural humility, relationship building, organization, and the ability to effectively manage multiple programs and priorities. From facilitating sexual health education and professional training programs to coordinating youth leadership initiatives and community outreach efforts, the Community Outreach Health Educator serves as a trusted representative of PPTNM throughout the communities we serve. This role works closely with youth, community organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to increase access to education and resources while fostering authentic and lasting community relationships. Community Education & Program Delivery Deliver high-quality, medically accurate, culturally responsive education programs on sexuality, reproductive health, and Planned Parenthood services to individuals and groups throughout the community. Facilitate outreach sexual health education programs, professional trainings, and youth leadership programming that increase access to sexual health education in West Tennessee and North Mississippi. Customize lesson plans and curricula, or develop new educational content as needed to meet community and program needs. Maintain fidelity to evidence-based programs and ensure all educational programming aligns with established curriculum standards and organizational guidelines. Utilize appropriate educational methodologies, technology, and facilitation techniques to engage diverse audiences and enhance learning outcomes. Prepare and distribute educational and informational materials and respond to requests for educational resources. Perform other duties as assigned. Community Outreach & Partnership Development Build and maintain authentic, reciprocal relationships with community partners, stakeholders, schools, organizations, and others invested in the health and well-being of young people. Prioritize engagement and partnership opportunities with LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities to expand access to sexual health education and resources.
