Prepares and serves notices to correct violations and may issue citations or summons for matters of non-compliance. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** 1. Patrols the City and responds to citizen complaints noting violations and variances from property codes and ordinances. 2. Enforces zoning and substandard building regulations. 3. Inspect premises for overall cleanliness; adequate disposal of garbage and rubbish; and for signs of vermin infestation. 4. Inspects rental properties and communicates with tenants, landlords, and property owner’s requirements of the Rental Registration Program. 5. Conducts on-site multi-family inspections and confers with apartment owners/managers and tenants. 6. Prepares and issues forms, letters, and/or citations notifying property owners and/or tenants of violations, and the time frame allowed for correcting deficiencies. 7.
