Community Court Coordinator/Case Manager

***This is a full time limited-term position, with funding through June 30, 2027. The position may be extended depending on funding.*** Under the direct supervision of the Court Administrator, the Community Court Coordinator/Case Manager is responsible for the overall program organization as well as managing daily operations, collecting data, and implementing strategies. This position provides direct service case management to participants of Community Court. This position assesses participant needs and eligibility and connects them with identified resources. This position also implements, monitors, and reports participant compliance with court objectives, as ordered by the Community Court Judge. Responsibilities will also include implementing policies and procedures as well as recruiting and managing service providers. The position works as part of a team with the Case Manager as well as the core team consisting of the Judge, the prosecutor, the defense attorney, and the peer navigator. - Coordinates with all team members (judge, defense attorneys, prosecutors, court staff, law enforcement, jail staff, and various providers). - Plans, organizes and determine overall program organization, mission, core services, and allocation of services and capital. - Evaluates program progress, effectiveness, and outcomes as well as preparing reports to reflect the same, as requested. - Ensures continued education of best practices and trainings within the program and its staff. - Manages contact between participants, case manager, staff, and providers. - Coordinates activities. - Identifies trends and problems, develops plans and solutions, and implements written policies and procedures. - Recruits and manages providers, ensuring availability and meeting gaps within participants’ needs. - Manages contracts and MOU. - Ensures case manager has all needed information for compliance reports. - Assist with developing and attaining program goals and objectives through effective program planning and implementation. - Develop and maintain program standards and administer program within legal requirements. - Maintain confidentiality and professional ethical standards required by state and federal statutes. - Attend trainings, meetings, staffing sessions, and court hearings as required. - Complete screening and assessment to determine eligibility, risk, and needs of individuals referred to Community Court. - Develop participant program agreements outlining objectives participants need to complete to resolve their criminal case(s). - Monitor participant’s compliance with program agreements and conditions, as ordered by the Community Court Judge. - Connect participants with community resources and conduct collateral contacts. - Complete and submit progress and violation reports to the Court, Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, and Defense Attorney in a timely manner. - Maintain accurate case notes in case management software. - Communicate participant progress with justice stakeholders and official documents - High School diploma or equivalent - 2 years of experience working with social service providers or therapeutic courts - Fluency in computer office programs, especially word and excel - A combination of education, training, and experience that provides the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job. **Preferred Requirements:** - An associate degree or higher in social work, criminal justice, psychology, counseling, or therapy field. **Licenses and other requirements:** - Possession of a valid Washington driver’s license - Must pass a criminal history background check **Knowledge of:** - Community resources, social service agencies, and landlords. - Current practices of assessment, counseling, and treatment. - Principles, practices and procedures of criminal law - Structures of public benefit and welfare systems such as subsidized housing, food and financial assistance programs. **Ability to:** - Be sensitive to cultural an…
