Community Care Intake Officer

**About the role** An exciting opportunity exists to join our team as the Community Care Intake Officer. The position will provide a responsive interface between the community and the Community Access and Support department through several service channels. The role will primarily focus on assisting senior residents, vulnerable communities, service consumers and service providers. The Community Care Intake Officer will be responsible for the management of incoming referrals via the My Aged Care portal for the suite of programs delivered through Knox City Council’s Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) and community transport program services. This role will work closely with all members of the Community Care Services team, assisting with administrative tasks, scheduling appointments and updating the client management system as needed. The Community Care Intake Officer will deliver effective and valuable service to both internal and external stakeholders. This role will ensure communications are clear, concise and accurate, thereby maintaining and enhancing the integrity of the organisation’s profile and reputation in all dealings with customers. This is a part-time temporary role (0.7 EFT) until June 2027 based at the Civic Centre. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met. This is a Band 4 classified role. Remuneration will be $73,349.33 to $78,124.95 (depending on experience) (pro-rata for part time) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee. **What you will bring to this role** The key selection criteria for this role are: - Experience in the development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of quality systems - Knowledge and understanding of the aged care service system - Experience with Microsoft Office programs and client databases such as Carelink - Providing responsive customer service across multiple channels - Conducting intake and triage activities for community care services - Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in community services, administration or related area **How to apply** Please submit your application, including your resume and cover letter online via the ‘Apply’ button by **11.55 pm on Friday 31 July 2026.** All applications must be made via the online portal.
