If you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are passionate about communications, this job will be an excellent fit for you. **THE COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST WILL:** - Coordinate communications and marketing efforts for the aviation sector for both the Chicago and Dallas / Fort Worth offices. - Develop project profiles showcasing projects, challenges, and accomplishments for use in marketing materials, website and submittal requests. - Develop project related communications, presentations, and graphics. - Assist in designing and coordinating internal/external communications and sector specific materials. - Interact with Aviation Sector leadership at the VP and Director level on a regular basis. - Support specific internal communication initiatives such as the corporate newsletter, website content, and new hire announcements. - Create content, documents, and materials that follow organizational standards and branding. - Maintain and update project staff resumes. - Maintain project photography library. - Serve as a primary point of contact for aviation events, advertisements and sponsorships. - Support business development with proposal development and leave behind materials. - Support the company’s presence on all relevant social media sites. - May also perform special projects or other reasonable business-related duties as requested including trade fairs and conferences - Reports to the Aviation Sector Leads **WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:** - Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or a related discipline from a four-year college or university. - Three to five years of communications and marketing experience is a bonus. - Strong organization skills and ability to balance multiple projects at one time. - Particular attention to detail and strong proofreading skills. - Proficiency with the MS Office suite, particularly Word and PowerPoint. - Reliability, enthusiasm, and a collaborative mindset. **WHAT WILL SET YOU APART:** - Excellent communication skills - Prior experience in the AEC industry - Knowledge of marketing trends within the business-to-business marketplace - Understanding of website management systems - Experience with social media platforms - Prior experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign - Prior experience with search engine optimization **Job Offer:** - Competitive base salary between $65 - 85K, depending on experience, skills, and location. - Annual bonuses are based on individual and company performance. - 401K yearly profit-sharing contribution. - PTO. - 11 paid holidays, including 2 floating holidays. - Parental leave. - Medical, dental, and vision insurance. - Relevant certifications and courses reimbursed.
