Communications Coordinator

The Gathering Spot is looking to hire a Communications Specialist within the marketing department reporting to the Band Manager to be responsible for member communications. Job Responsibilities: - Drafting targeted communications to members regarding member events, club updates, and member benefits including but not limited to: - Email - Push Notifications - Text Messaging - Managing Email Lists - updating, segmenting, cleaning - Act as a liaison between membership, operations and marketing team to communicate necessary information to membership - Works closely with Member Events team to monitor event attendance and adjust communications accordingly - Ideates and creates local promotions to attract new members and increase engagement of existing members Job Requirements: - Strong written and oral communication skills - Attention to detail in order to produce timely, error-free work - Proficient in email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp - Design skills including Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva recommended - Hands-on experience with web content management tools, like WordPress - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines - Thrives in continuous improvement, fast-paced environment - Undergraduate degree preferred but not required - Flexibility including availability for weekend and evening work Job Benefts: - Joining a fast-faced, growing company - Competitive benefits package including company-paid health care - Company provided lunch when working on site - Flexible work from home company culture allows for 2 days work from home per week The Gathering Spot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
