As they continue to grow, they are seeking a skilled and motivated **Commercial Plumbing Estimator** to join their team. The Commercial Plumbing Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive plumbing estimates for a wide range of commercial projects, including new construction, renovations, and tenant improvements. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing systems, construction processes, and the ability to analyze project specifications and blueprints. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to effectively communicate with clients, project managers, and subcontractors. ### Responsibilities: - Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and contracts to develop accurate plumbing estimates. - Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial plumbing projects, including labor, materials, and equipment. - Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain quotes and pricing information. - Evaluate site conditions and scope of work to ensure all necessary work is included in the estimate. - Maintain a comprehensive understanding of local plumbing codes, regulations, and industry standards. - Present and explain estimates to clients, ensuring clear communication and addressing any questions or concerns. - Track and update project budgets throughout the bidding and construction phases. - Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions. - Maintain organized and accurate records of estimates, bids, and related documentation. - Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers. - Attending Job Walk Throughs - Stay up to date with industry trends, materials, and technology advancements to ensure competitive and accurate estimates. ### Qualifications: - Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a plumbing estimator, preferably in a commercial setting. - In-depth knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, codes, and industry standards. - Proficiency in Fast Est estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.). - Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills. - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. - [Degree or certification] in plumbing, construction management, or a related field is a plus. - [Additional certifications or qualifications] preferred but not required. ### Benefits - Competitive salary based on experience. - Retirement savings plan. - Paid time off and holidays. - Opportunities for career growth and development. - A collaborative and positive work environment.
