The Driver – Wholesale operates a delivery vehicle for the purpose of delivery, pick up, and hauling of materials between Wholesale Distribution center and multiple local and out of state Wholesale customer store and Company store locations. The Driver – Wholesale operates a delivery vehicle for the purpose of delivery, pick up, and hauling of materials between Wholesale Distribution center and multiple local and out of state Wholesale customer store and Company store locations. ### Responsibilities - Operates a delivery vehicle for the purpose of delivery, pick up, and hauling of materials between Wholesale Distribution center and multiple local and out of state Wholesale customer store and Company store locations. - Follow all federal and state motor carrier safety regulations as specified by the US Department of Transportation and other regulatory agencies of the federal and state governments. - Unload and loads merchandise at the store locations utilizing lift-gates, pallet jacks and material handling equipment. - Performs routine vehicle inspections and follows local and federal transportation regulations. - Unload and loads merchandise at the store locations utilizing lift-gates, pallet jacks and material handling equipment. - Performs routine tractor and trailer inspections and follows local and federal transportation regulations. - Conduct pre and post trip inspections of the vehicles; report vehicle maintenance problems to the Driver Supervisor upon discovery. - Maintain daily trip and fuel logs (if required); submit all logs to Driver Supervisor as required. - Unload and load merchandise at the multiple store locations. This is to include unloading new merchandise and loading all merchandise returning to the wholesale center or transferring to another store location. - Returning merchandise should include cores, defects, transfers, returns, cardboard, stretch film, and any other item requested by the wholesale center manager or staff. Record all transfers, as necessary, on the destination report. - Unload and load merchandise at the multiple company store locations, with assistance from at least one store person. This is to include unloading new merchandise and loading all merchandise returning to the distribution center or transferring to another store location. Returning merchandise should include cores, defects, transfers, returns, cardboard, stretch film, and any other item requested by the distribution center manager or staff. - Record all transfers, as necessary, on the freight bill. - Report problems with equipment or any unsafe conditions to the Driver Supervisor or the store manager. ### Qualifications - 18 years of age and either a high school diploma or GED equivalent. - Tractor-Trailer School certification or adequate experience to perform the job safely. - Possess and maintain a valid class driver’s license. - Have a safe driving record. - 6 months or more of semi-tractor and trailer driving experience or equivalent training. Tractor Trailer School Certification preferred. - Knowledge of all transportation regulations. - Must have negative DOT Drug/Alcohol testing at time of hire and background. - Must obtain DOT Medical Card upon completion of pre-placement physical per Monro standards. - Ability to accurately maintain daily logs and related record keeping. - Ability to work past scheduled time based on business needs. - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance. - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form. - Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. ### About the Company Monro, Inc.
