Join us. ## Job Description **Job Description** **AECOM** is seeking an experienced **Commercial Director** to be based in our **Baltimore, MD** office to support the B&P Tunnel Replacement (BPTR) Program among other project opportunities available at AECOM. AECOM is the delivery partner for Amtrak on the BPTR Program that will upgrade a ten-mile section of the Northeast Corridor (NEC), America’s busiest passenger rail line. The delivery partner team is responsible for supporting Amtrak with overseeing the full breadth of the program. The scope of services includes program management, design oversight, construction oversight, commissioning oversight, program controls, commercial management, and capacity building. The Program will also include delivery of new roadway and railroad bridges, new rail systems and track, and a new ADA-accessible West Baltimore MARC station. The Commercial Director will oversee commercial strategy, contract administration, and financial governance for this multi‑billion‑dollar infrastructure program delivered under the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) contract type. This role is central to ensuring commercial integrity, cost predictability, and successful negotiation of Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) packages with CMAR contractors. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in commercial management for large transportation or infrastructure programs, excels in contractor negotiations, and understands the complexities of CMAR delivery, risk allocation, and cost transparency. This role ensures effective contract management, compliance, and communication throughout the construction phase and contract closeout.
