**College Counselor - Job Description** La Salle Academy, an all-male college preparatory high school, seeks an experienced college counselor. Located in the East Village neighborhood of New York City, La Salle Academy is a small school with a 177 year history that enrolls a culturally diverse student population. It is a member of the international network of Lasallian Schools. **Education:** Master's Degree or higher. **Experience:** 3-5 years of college counseling experience desired. However, those with less experience may be considered. Familiarity/expertise with Naviance, The Common Application, and the CUNY application preferred. FACTS SIS knowledge a bonus. **Timeframe:** End-August- June 30th . **Duties:** - Guide 11th and 12th grade students through the college application process. - Critique college essays. - Process college applications. - Offer academic and personal counseling to the students. - Communicate with parents, students, faculty, and administration regularly. - Advertise and monitor college representative visits. - Keep detailed accurate records. **Salary:** $56,719 + starting salary commensurate with experience and credentials.
