DEPARTMENT: Beverage ServiceREPORTS TO: Restaurant Manager The Cocktail Server at The National provides attentive, engaging, and elevated food and beverage service in a fast-paced bar and lounge environment. This role is responsible for creating memorable guest experiences through knowledgeable menu and cocktail recommendations, timely service, and a polished, professional presence. Cocktail Servers work closely with bartenders and leadership to ensure seamless service while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to hospitality standards. RESPONSIBILITIES: Receive and take guest orders and process in a timely manner through whatever systems are currently used in the restaurant. Serve food and beverages to guests. Perform side work as assigned Operate point of sale system. Straighten chairs and keep floor free of debris. Clean service area and replenish as needed. Bus and set tables. Handle cash and credit transactions. Perform other duties as assigned. Communicate with support crew and management. Adhere to the Coury Hospitality Cash Handling Policy. Extend and total the check double-check for accuracy and have host sign it. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Able to push, stand, stoop, bend, and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds repetitively Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays Knowledge of wine and other alcoholic beverages and have the ability to explain to guests. Must be able to obtain an Oklahoma State ABLE License. EXPERIENCE: Previous bartending or cocktail serving experience preferred.
