Join us and be a part of something special! ## Description **Responsibilities:** *Teacher Aide:* - Assist with classroom preparations, for example, bulletin boards, duplicating materials, material preparations - Work with students upon request of the teacher - Facilitate small groups - Assist in the library - Assist with bus/car duty *Office Aide:* - Assist paraprofessionals in office with any tasks assigned, for example, answering phones, admitting visitors, filing, alphabetizing and any other help needed *Nurse's Aide:* - Check student in/out of clinic - Assist with entering shot and or medical records in computer database - Fill in and assist with tasks as needed by the school nurse **Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Enviornment Factors:** - Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including computer and peripherals; standard instructional equipment - Posture: Frequent standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling and twisting - Motion: Frequent walking and reaching - Lifting: Frequent light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds) - Enviornment: Work both inside and outside (exposure to sun, heat, cold and inclement weather); exposure to noise; exposure to bioligical hazards (bacteria, communicable diseases) - Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress ## Requirements **Qualifications:** - 11th or 12th grade students at Deer Park High School - Must be enrolled in the DPHS Career Preparations Program and completed the preliminary application process for the program.
