At Martin Sprocket & Gear, we’re dedicated to producing quality mechanical power transmission components, material handling systems, and custom forgings with excellence, and we're looking for skilled **CNC Programmers/Operators** like you! **What You’ll Do:** - **Analyze specifications**: Review job orders, blueprints, and technical drawings to calculate dimensions, select tools, and determine machine speeds. - **Program CNC machines**: Create and optimize CNC programs using CAM software to ensure precision and efficiency. - **CNC setup & calibration**: Set up CNC equipment, calibrate tools, and ensure proper machine function before production. - **Trial runs & adjustments**: Perform trial simulations, adjusting programs as needed to ensure accuracy and minimize errors. - **Safety & cleanliness**: Follow all safety standards, wear PPE for the duration of the shift while on the manufacturing floor, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. - **Cross-departmental support**: Assist with other areas of production as needed to ensure smooth operations. **What You’ll Bring:** - **Education**: High School Diploma or GED. - **Experience**: At least ***2 years of experience*** programming and setting up 3-axis CNC mills. - **CAM software**: Experience with CAM software preferred. - **Technical knowledge**: Strong understanding of basic machining practices and mechanical processes. - **Mathematics & communication**: Solid math skills and the ability to effectively communicate technical details. - **Problem-solving & teamwork**: Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset. - **Physical requirements**: Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment. - **Work ethic**: Dependable with a commitment to high-quality, precise work standards. **Your Schedule:** - **2nd Shift**: Monday – Thursday, 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM To perform this job successfully, you must be able to report daily to the branch to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
