## Overview PRN ## Description **CNA Duties:** - Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing dressing, grooming, toileting, changing of bed linens, and positioning in and out of bed, chair, monitoring I & O, rounding on patients to ensure safety. - Assists with patients’ recreation programs. - Review health care service plan, negotiated service agreement when notified of changes and daily report sheets. - Reads communication book every week. - Set up dining room for meals and then bus, clean and sanitize tables after the meal - Prepares patients for meals and snacks, assists patient in eating where needed, and records food intake. - Reads and follows daily care plans. - Reports changes in patient condition to nurse in charge. - Documents care provision on patient record/flow sheets as required and reports accidents and incidents. - Provides nursing functions as directed by licensed nurse, supervisor or manager. - Understands, complies with, and promotes all rules regarding patient rights. - Promotes positive relationships with residents, visitors and government regulators, to include presenting a professional appearance and attitude. - Assist in admission, transfer and discharge of residents. - Supports and abides by the mission, values, and policies of CHCS in all activities. - On-going compliance with CHCS educational requirements. - All other duties as required. **CMA Duties:** - Administer and accurately record administration of medications as prescribed by a resident's physician(s) in accordance with CHCS policy and applicable state and federal guidelines under supervision of a nurse - Observe for adverse reactions to administration of medications, within their scope, and report timely to nursing. - Obtain, record, and report resident vital signs. - Manage supply of medications. - Provide accounting for all medications ordered, received, stored and administered. - Care for the personal needs, safety and comfort of our residents. - Assist residents with activities of daily living including wardrobe, personal hygiene, and mobility. - Aid in daily tasks such as housekeeping, use of telephone, laundry, and mail delivery. - Observe and report changes in residents' condition and status. - Assist in dining including escorting residents to dining room, serving and clean up. - Supports and abides by the mission, values, and policies of CHCS in all activities. - On-going compliance with CHCS educational requirements. - All other duties as required. ## Requirements Must have an active CNA or CMA license in the state of Kansas.
