ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED IN THIS POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: 1. **Observe residents and note changes in physical condition, attitude, reactions, appetite, and report changes or unusual findings to charge nurse.** 2. **Transfer residents from bed to chair; chair to bed.** 3. **Turn and position residents.** 4. **Bathe residents-shower and/or tub. Use mechanical lift, transfer patients from chair to tub chair for bathing.** 5. **Feed/assist with feeding residents and/or prepare meal trays for residents; open containers.** 6. **Take vital signs and record.
