Position is located at Waipahu **Position Summary** Under the supervision of the Manager of Adult Services, provides clinical supervision to all program staff, monitors day-to-day clinical operations, and ensures effective caseload management. Protects confidentiality of clients and client records in accordance with all applicable federal regulations. Responsible for timely and accurate documentation of clinical treatment activities. **I. Essential Functions** **Program Development/Coordination** 1. Responsible for maintaining a positive work environment among staff and consumer oriented philosophy. 2. Monitors and develops positive working relationship with all referral sources. 3. Monitors and evaluates counselor's adherence to Hina Mauka's code of ethics. 4. Is responsible for directly supervising the everyday procedure and efficiency of the counselors providing treatment to clients. 5. Ensures adequate coverage and staffing when gaps emerge in any aspect of the program schedule. 6. Implements and maintains new program changes as directed by Manager or Director of Adult Services. 7. Reports to the Manager of Adult Services on the status of the program, adherence to code of ethics, clinical needs, and public relations efforts. 8. In collaboration with Manager of Adult Services, works with Clinical Administration to coordinate documentation of client services for billing processes. 9. Coordinates with all other program Supervisors to ensure smooth transitioning of clients and charts through the continuum of care. **Contract Management** 1. Under the direction of the Manager of Adult Services, assists in the preparation for accreditation, contract audits, and evaluations. 2. Review all open and closed charts (electronic and physical) in a timely manner to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of documentation as required by accreditors and contractors. 3. Responsible for ensuring completion of agency surveys. **Counselor Supervision and Development** 1. Motivates staff in a positive manner to accept and practice the policies, procedures, and values of the agency. Communicates changes in guidelines and regulations to staff. 2. Conducts consistent, regular individual supervision that includes and is not limited to professional development, performance review, and mentorship. 3. Trains new counselors on clinical interventions, record keeping, and Hina Mauka processes. 4. Ensures Continuous Quality Improvement of group and individual services to include collecting feedback from colleagues, the use of standardized intervention tools, and direct observation. **II. Other Functions** 1. Performs other related duties as assigned. **III. Qualification Requirements** **Experience and Training:** 1. Certification as a Substance Use Counselor (CSAC) and Advance Degree in Social work, Psychology or Behavioral Science preferred. 2. Two (2) years professional experience as a Substance Use Counselor 3. Experience working with the offender and mental health populations. 4. Familiar with and utilizes motivational and empowering techniques with staff and clients. Familiar with Contingency Management approaches to reinforce positive behavior and extinguish negative behavior with clients. 5. Eligible for certification in CPR and First Aid. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** 1. Able to work with and relate to clients with substance use and mental health disorders. 2. Able to professionally represent Hina Mauka amid all referral sources, community networks, and other professionals. 3. Well organized and able to maintain accurate and concise records. 4. Able to work as a team member within Hina Mauka's philosophy. **IV. Phvsical/Mental Demands** Light physical effort, mostly sedentary work. Occasional standing/walking. Occasionally lifts supplies/equipment. May be exposed to infectious and contagious disease. May perform emergency care. Protective Equipment: Use of non-sterile medical gloves.
