## Description **FLSA Employment Status:** Nonexempt/Hourly **JOB SUMMARY** To provide direct supervision and management of patient care activities. To assist with the daily operations of the Emergency Department, including assisting with the supervision of staff and the utilization of department resources. Will provide direct patient care and collaborate with clinical and ancillary services. **Reporting Structure:** Reports to the ED Nursing Director **Supervisory Responsibilities:** Will assist in the supervision of Emergency Department employees. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS** **Education:** Graduate of accredited RN program **** **Work Experience** Must have three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. Charge nurse experience preferred. **** **License/Certification** Current Tennessee State or Compact State Registered Nurse License with no restrictions Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain within 30 days of hire date. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for full-time employees within 1 year of hire date. Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required for full-time employees within 1 year of hire date.
