Night - 12 Hour (United States of America) M7 is a 22-bed Acuity Adaptable Unit (AAU) which allows an individual patient room within a nursing unit to be reconfigured to meet the needs of the patient's level of acuity. There is a 3:1 patient to nurse ratio for Intermediate ICU level of acuity or 4-5:1 patient to nurse ratio for the Acute Care level of acuity. The unit serves a vascular surgery & cardiology patient population who may require cardiac monitoring. The diverse and complex patient population allows our nurses to further develop clinical expertise and a strong foundation of nursing knowledge. Within that role, the CN performs all steps of the nursing process, including assessing patients; interpreting data; planning, implementing, and evaluating care; coordinating care with other providers; and teaching the patient and family the knowledge and skills needed to manage their care and prevent complications.
