C-WV participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S. ## Description Provides general assistance to the clinical and administrative activities of the Carleton-Willard Village Out-Patient Clinic Responsibilities: - Provides general and emergency nursing services to Residents. - Assists with welcoming, greeting and interacting with residents at the Clinic. - Assists with scheduling appointments for clinic providers and residents. - Takes and records resident vital signs (ie: blood pressure w/manual cuff, weight, temperature, etc.) and documents in electronic medical record (EMR). - Performs EKG’s, nebulizer treatments, wound dressing changes and lab tests (ie: urine dipsticks, guaiac cards, COVID-19 testing). - Assists with ordering laboratory tests (including STAT x-rays, ultrasounds, labs, etc…) and notifies residents of upcoming tests by phone and reminder notices. Responsible for telephone triage. - Independently reviews and inputs provider orders into EMR. - Faxes information to pharmacies and other providers. - Assists with ordering in-home meal delivery for residents who are ill. - Functions as a receptionist for the Clinic - answers phone and addresses residents when they enter the Clinic. - Re-stocks exam rooms and keeps Clinic reception area neat and orderly. - Researches and orders health education materials. - Orders clinical supplies and monitors inventory for expiration dates. - Assists with preparing electronic medical records for new residents. - Accurately scans and uploads reports into EMR after Clinic Nurse Practitioner has reviewed and initialed. - Sends test result letters to residents after they are reviewed by Clinic Nurse Practitioner. - Assists Clinic Podiatrist with maintaining orderly patient flow and exam room clean-up. - Must be available to fill in for the Clinic Coordinator and Clinic Nurse Supervisor as needed. - Assists with a variety of special projects to improve services of the Clinic. - Works independently to proofread, correct and update face sheet And medication list for all independent residents. Distributes updated copies to residents. Also updates all the Code Bags (Clinic, Willard, Dining, Llewsac). - Responsible for keeping track of Resident annual wellness visits for residents with outside PCPs. - Responsible for booking mammograms, bone density exams and outside consults for Residents and ensuring that results are seen and reviewed by Clinic Nurse Practitioner. - Assists with other duties as the needs of the Clinic change. Qualifications: Current LPN licensure in Massachusetts Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong computer skills BLS certification required
