This role combines hands‑on cleaning duties with supervisory responsibilities to ensure the smooth, efficient, and compliant operation of the cleaning service. * * * **Key Responsibilities** **Cleaning Duties** - Carry out daily cleaning tasks across allocated areas of the care home. - Ensure all cleaning is completed to required standards, following infection control protocols. - Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and in accordance with training and COSHH regulations. - Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests when required. * * * **Supervisory & Operational Duties** - **Manage stock levels**, including monitoring usage and ensuring adequate supplies at all times. - **Complete stock ordering** in line with company procedures. - **Manage staff annual leave**, ensuring adequate cover and maintaining the cleaning rota. - Ensure all **mandatory paperwork and cleaning logs** are completed accurately and on time by all staff. - Maintain accurate records of audits, checks, training, incidents, and compliance documents. - Support with staff training, coaching, and performance where required. - Ensure all staff follow cleaning standards, health & safety requirements, and infection control policies. - Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or concerns promptly. * * * **Person Specification** **Essential** - Experience in a cleaning role, ideally within a care home or similar environment. - Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader position. - Strong organisational and time‑management skills. - Ability to maintain accurate records and paperwork. - Understanding of infection control and health & safety requirements. - Good communication skills and a supportive leadership style. **Desirable** - Knowledge of COSHH and relevant regulatory standards. - Experience managing rotas or staff leave allocation. * * * **What We Offer** - Stable weekday working pattern (Mon–Fri, 11:00-15:00). - Supportive team environment within a caring setting. - Opportunity to develop skills and contribute to high-quality care home operations. - Pay award pending. * * * The post you are applying for is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013).
