Civil/Sports Field Laborer

The Role SCG Fields, LLC is seeking a laborer to help construct and renovate sports complexes, including football/soccer fields, baseball diamonds, and tracks. This role involves both civil labor and turf management. This opportunity would be full time at various construction sites and requires travel with extended periods of time away from home. What You'll Do - Fine-grade soil and stone bases to laser-guided specifications for proper drainage. - Install field drainage system. - Grade and dress infield skin areas, set bases, and maintain pitcher’s mounds and batter's boxes. - Install and repair irrigation systems for athletic fields. - Assemble and install sports equipment. - Other duties as assigned. What You'll Bring - Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs and work in direct sun/outdoor conditions for extended periods. - High level of manual dexterity for detailed tasks. - Experience: Previous landscaping or civil construction experience is highly valued. Two or more years of experience as a general laborer, outdoor job positions preferred - Must be able to communicate with foreman and follow instructions; - Technical Skill: Ability to read a tape measure and follow detailed instructions. - Reliability: Willingness to work 50-60 hours per week outdoors (employees receive overtime pay according state and federal law); - Must be able to operate basic hand tools; - Must demonstrate reliability, responsibility, and cooperation in team settings; - Must follow safety guidelines while working on a construction site; - Must be willing to submit to post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing as part of the SCG drug-free workplace; - Driver’s license required; - Must be willing to travel extensively Benefits - Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability Insurance - 401(k) with generous company match - Weekly pay plus per diem for travel - Competitive compensation and growth opportunities within a specialized field SCG Fields, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
