Completion of an approved two (2) year highway/civil engineering technology, drafting, or land surveying program; andB. Four (4) years of relevant work experience; OR six (6) years of relevant work experience; ORC. Equivalent combination of education/training/experience.D. Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive in the state of Minnesota.E. Must successfully complete a background check.F. Obtain and maintain certifications and licensures. F. 1. Ability to obtain and maintain upon hire: F. 1. 1. Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) Technical Certifications, including Aggregate Production Tester, Bituminous Plant Tester, Bituminous Plant Monitor, Bituminous Street Inspector, Concrete Field Tester, Concrete Field Inspector, Grading & Base Tester, Grading & Base Inspector, and Bridge Safety Inspection. F. 1. 2. Erosion and Stormwater Management Certification Program through the University of Minnesota, including Construction Installer, Construction Site Management, and Design of Construction Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP).** Each **Civil Engineer Technician** grade level includes **11 wage steps**.
