Responsible for recruitment, training and supervision of diverse volunteers. Works closely with the Project Director, center staff, school staff, community agencies, parents/families, and the students to achieve program goals and objectives. Performs other duties as assigned. Essential Responsibilities - Ensure program activities promote the health, safety and general well-being of participants and provide high quality educational development opportunities. Provide guidance and positive role modeling to participants. - Coordinate the implementation of community-based activities with “hands on” site management. - Recruit, orient and supervise diverse volunteers, ensure that volunteers attend orientation, and conduct regular meetings to facilitate effective communication. Provide guidance and support to build a strong volunteer corp. - Contribute to the successful operation of the ACE project by: - Initiating new programs with the approval of the Advisory Committee; - Promoting and stimulating program participation. - Build relationships with key school staff - Ensure quality improvement by monitoring and evaluating program achievement against target goals, recommending modifications that respond to participants’ needs and interests and reporting to the Project Director. - Review and adhere to school district and campus rules, policies and procedures, including the campus crisis plan, protocol for reporting abuse, and other pertinent requirements. - Establish and maintain positive communications with the parents, including parent meetings and written announcements as needed. - Establish effective communications with the Advisory Committee, including presenting reports both orally and in writing. - Maintain an inventory of all program equipment and supplies in good order. Recommend repair and/or purchase within budgetary constraints. - Maintain participant information, attendance, and academic progress in the TEA database comprised of both students and adults, submit paperwork in a timely manner, and prepare accurate statistical reports by deadline dates. - Establish linkages to the community to promote community involvement and recruit prospective volunteers. - Participate in the overall function of the CIS-ACE project by attending meetings, working on team projects, and attending training and events. # **Administration** - Attend all meetings as required - Continuous professional development and participation in database trainings to enhance knowledge and carry out this role effectively - Submit status report to Project Director outlining site-specific information - Ensure the completion of required programmatic reports **Exhibit CIS Core Values** - Passion - Compassion - Collaboration - Optimism - Adaptability **Work Environment** This job operates in a professional office environment.
