This role supports the Y’s mission of fostering youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. As a Child Watch Attendant, you will create a welcoming, safe, and positive environment for children, while adhering to YMCA values and safety guidelines. Key responsibilities include: - Supervising and ensuring the safety of children at all times. - Maintaining a clean and organized program area. - Building positive relationships with children, parents, and staff. - Enforcing YMCA policies and procedures, including safety and child abuse prevention. - Attending required training sessions and meetings. ## Requirements - **Experience**: Prior experience working with children preferred. - **Skills**: Strong communication, adaptability, and ability to stay calm under pressure. - **Certifications**: CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications required (can be completed upon hire). - **Training**: Must complete YMCA onboarding and safety training within the first 30 days of employment. - **Physical Demands**: Ability to frequently lift 25 lbs., occasionally up to 50 lbs., and work in moderate to high noise levels.
