Join us and be a part of something special! ## Description To assist in serving students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness and warmth. **Responsibilities:** - Prepare and serve food according to established procedures and methods - Use and care for equipment properly - Apply the rules of safety and sanitation to insure care in food handling, safety in work, and reduction of accidents - Assist in assigned clean-up operations following food preparation or a serving period. - Capable of lifting forty (40) pounds - Meet requirements established by the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, and Summer Feeding Program - Duties, areas and campus assignments subject to change at the discretion of the campus principal, campus supervisor or Child Nutrition Director ## Requirements - Food Service Experience Required - Must be 18 years of age or older - Read and Speak English Required - Basic Math Skills - Demonstrates good personal appearance and cleanliness in work habits - **Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:** - **Tools/Equipment Used:** Uses large and small kitchen equipment to include electric slicer, mixer, pressure steamer, deep-fat fryer, and sharp cutting tools; ovens; dishwasher; and food and utility carts - **Posture/Motion/Environment:** Continual standing, walking, pushing, and pulling; frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, and climbing (ladder); moderate lifting and carrying; moderate exposure to extreme hot and/or cold temperatures. Able to lift up to 35 pounds. - **Mental Demands:** Understands verbal instructions
