Included in this responsibility is the supervision and development of school leadership that can create a school and community culture that works together in service to every 27J student. Responsible for middle and elementary schools. Collaborates on supervision of principals with the Deputy Superintendent and the Director of Schools. Supervises the Director of Schools, Director of CLD, Director of Special Education, and the Director of Early Childhood Education. Acts as representative of the District in various community groups and forums; serves as a member of Superintendent's staff and District Leadership Group. Salary: Salary Range APT 20, $146,9778 - $211,505 Responsibilities: Demonstrates positive, collaborative leadership and participates in collegial problem solving in a variety of situations, departments and schools, emphasizing teamwork and beneficial effects on student learning. Evaluates and coaches 27J Principals, Director of Schools, Director of CLD, Director of Special Education, Director of ECE. Provides guidance and leadership on District issues as a member of the Superintendent's staff to the Board of Education and with the District Leadership Group. Facilitates, manages, and/or coordinates various District groups or committees engaged in efforts toward improvement of student learning and improvement of instruction. Manages District and School Accountability and Accreditation through Unified Improvement Plans. Administers budget allocations and grant funds in a responsible, efficient and effective manner. Including the development, implementation, and monitoring of federal ESSA, and ESEA grants, programs and budgets. Leads implementation, monitoring, and sustainability of AVID College Readiness System as AVID District Director. Facilitates the development of solutions, both long and short term, to issues and problems as appropriate and needed within any department or school in the District or with groups or individuals outside the District. Assists with public communication and public information as needed and appropriate. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Must have Administrative/Principal Certification/Licensing as required by Colorado Department of Education. Master's degree plus additional coursework for certification or licensure. Experience in leadership, change and systems development. Eight (8) years of progressively responsible, related experience. At least 3 years of administrative experience that must include school administration experience required. 3 + years of classroom experience required. Proven knowledge of diversity across a wide spectrum of areas; e.g., language, ethnicity, gender, etc. Bilingual literacy in Spanish is preferred.
