### Chief Engineer As ***Chief Engineer,*** you’ll lead the maintenance and engineering operations of the property, ensuring all building systems, equipment, and facilities operate safely and efficiently. You’ll manage a team, oversee preventative maintenance programs, and ensure compliance with safety and brand standards. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and a commitment to maintaining a well-functioning, guest-ready environment. ### **Key Responsibilities** - You will be the backbone of our hotel's operations, ensuring all systems and equipment run smoothly for our guests' comfort and safety. - Your daily tasks will include managing maintenance staff, overseeing repairs and upgrades, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and codes. - You will report to the General Manager. - Starting as a chief engineer can lead to a variety of opportunities within the hospitality industry, such as regional engineering director, director of rooms, or even a corporate-level position in hotel operations. ### **Education & Experience** - A college degree or two years of hotel experience - Previous experience in this exact position - Previous experience in a similar or related position - A combination of education and experience ### **What You’ll Need to Succeed** - Eligible to work in the United States - Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English - Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and lift as required—with or without reasonable accommodations - Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed - A warm, professional demeanor that reflects HVMG’s **Culture of Excellence** This position may require a varied schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
