Chief Engineer (Dual Property)

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour Job description: Residence Inn Louisville Northeast & Courtyard Louisville Northeast Managed by JSK Hospitality Pay: $24.00–$28.00 per hour Position Summary JSK Hospitality is seeking an experienced Dual Property Chief Engineer to oversee the maintenance operations of the Residence Inn Louisville Northeast and Courtyard Louisville Northeast. This leadership position is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of both hotels, ensuring compliance with Marriott brand standards, leading a team of maintenance technicians, and driving preventative maintenance programs that maximize guest satisfaction and asset longevity. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and extensive experience in HVAC systems and hotel maintenance operations. Responsibilities - Lead and supervise the engineering and maintenance teams across two hotel properties. - Develop, implement, and monitor preventative maintenance programs. - Perform and oversee repairs to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems. - Prioritize and assign daily work orders while ensuring timely completion. - Maintain accurate maintenance logs, preventative maintenance records, and required compliance documentation. - Coordinate vendors, contractors, inspections, and service agreements. - Lead renovation projects, capital improvements, and special maintenance initiatives. - Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, OSHA regulations, and local building codes. - Monitor departmental expenses and assist in managing maintenance budgets. - Respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed. Qualifications - 5+ years of hotel engineering or facilities maintenance experience preferred. - Previous leadership or supervisory experience required. - Strong HVAC troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance experience strongly preferred. - Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance. - Experience with preventative maintenance software and documentation. - Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. - Ability to prioritize multiple projects across two hotel locations. - EPA Certification is preferred. - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred. Physical Requirements - Ability to lift up to 75 pounds. - Frequent standing, walking, climbing ladders, bending, and working in mechanical spaces. - Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies when necessary.
