All while understanding that **together** we are even better. **Schedule:** PRN **Shift:** Day (United States of America) **Address:** 9301 W 74Th St **City:** Shawnee Mission **State:** Kansas **Postal Code:** 66204 **Job Description:** - Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures. - Scrubs, gowns, and gloves for surgical procedures. - Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedures, displaying knowledge of procedure and patient positioning. - Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation and before the incision is closed. - Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants. - Assists other team members with terminal cleaning of the room and prepping for the next patient. - Handles surgical specimens with 100% accuracy. - Recognizes and responds immediately to emergency situations appropriately. - Helps in draping sterile field. - Passes instruments and supplies to surgeon during procedures. - Maintains the highest standard of sterile technique during procedures. - Prepares sterile dressings and cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization. - Performs other duties as assigned. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** - Interpersonal Skills [Required] - Completion of validation skills [Required] - Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up [Required] - Knowledge of sterilization techniques [Required] - Knowledge to anticipate critical emergencies of Specialty Call Team [Required] - Ability to organize, promote, and conduct relevant in-services on unit [Required] - Proficient in a minimum of 2 surgical specialties [Preferred] **Education:** - High School Grad or Equiv [Required] - Technical/Vocational School [Required] - Associate [Preferred] **Field of Study:** - N/A **Work Experience:** - 2+ years as certified surgical tech [Preferred] **Additional Information:** - N/A **Licenses and Certifications:** - Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] - State Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) [Required] **OR** NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) [Required] **OR** Technician in Surgery TS-C (NCCT) [Required] **Physical Requirements:** *(Please click the link below to view work requirements)* Physical Requirements - https://tinyurl.com/49cf4xnf **Pay Range:** $24.01 - $44.65 *This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.*
