Detroit Recovery Project is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate **Certified Peer Recovery Coach** to join our close-knit Youth Recovery Housing team. ## **Who We Are** Detroit Recovery Project, Inc. (DRP) is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) that provides integrated behavioral health, substance use treatment, and recovery support services for individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. We treat the whole person through our integrated programs of primary medical and behavioral healthcare. Our recovery philosophy is rooted in developing a healthy recovery ecosystem for individuals seeking long-term recovery through strong therapeutic relationships and individualized support. Our approach focuses on five key areas: - Health & Wellness - Spirituality - Employment - Education & Training - Family & Recovery Support ## **What We're Looking For** Detroit Recovery Project is hiring a **full-time Certified Peer Recovery Coach** to join our **Youth Recovery Housing Program** serving young adults ages **18-24**. This is a **second shift position** with a flexible start time between **3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.** Employees work an **8.5-hour shift (including a 30-minute unpaid meal period)** with corresponding end times based on their scheduled start time. In this role, you will utilize your lived experience and professional peer support skills to empower young adults as they navigate recovery from substance use disorders. You'll provide encouragement, mentorship, advocacy, and practical support while helping residents build the skills necessary for long-term recovery and independent living. Peer Recovery Coaches assist clients with: - Recovery planning and goal setting - Attending treatment services and recovery groups - Vocational training and employment readiness - Educational opportunities - Community resource navigation - Independent living skills - Ongoing recovery support and encouragement If you are passionate about helping others create meaningful and lasting change, we encourage you to apply. ## Qualifications **Required** - High School Diploma or GED. - Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with individuals in a Substance Use Disorder (SUD), Behavioral Health, or related human services setting. - Current **Certified Peer Recovery Mentor (CPRM)** or **Certified Peer Recovery Coach (CPRC)** certification through the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP) or the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). **This position is grant-funded and requires candidates to possess the required certification at the time of hire to meet grant compliance requirements.** - Valid and unrestricted Michigan Driver's License. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. - Ability to successfully pass all pre-employment screening requirements, including a criminal background check and drug screening, consistent with applicable laws and organizational policies. **Preferred** - Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. - Previous experience with data entry and client scheduling. - Experience working with transition-aged youth (ages 18-24). ## **Compensation** This grant-funded position offers an hourly wage of **$20.00-$22.00 per hour**, based on experience, qualifications, and other non-discriminatory factors. ## What's In It For You? - Collaborative and supportive work environment. - Clinical leadership support and regular peer collaboration. - Consistent second-shift schedule with flexible start times. - Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young adults in recovery. **Full-time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including:** - Medical Insurance - Dental Insurance - Vision Insurance - 401(k) with Company Match - Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - Pet Insurance - Student Loan Forgivene…
