Our mission is to deliver high-quality **Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)** services while making meaningful connections in a collaborative learning environment. **Job Description and Responsibilities** TheraPeds Partners is seeking a **full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)** to join a school team in **Newport, New Hampshire** for the **2026–2027 school year**. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will provide therapeutic support to elementary students while partnering with educators, families, and multidisciplinary staff to promote student success. ### Position Overview - **Location:** Newport, New Hampshire - **Schedule:** Full-time, 37.5 hours per week - **School Year:** August 2026 – May/June 2027 - **School Assignment:** One school campus - **Student Population:** PreK–5 - **Pay:** $40–$50 per hour (approximately $1,800/week) ### Primary Responsibilities In this role, you will: - Provide direct occupational therapy services to students - Assist with evaluations and assessments - Support the development and implementation of IEP goals - Monitor and document student progress - Participate in consultation with teachers, staff, and families - Assist with case management responsibilities - Work closely with the supervising Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality student care ### What We Offer - Guaranteed paid hours, including documentation, planning, and administrative time - In-person, school-based assignment - Support from both the partnering school district and TheraPeds Partners - Manageable caseloads designed to promote quality services ### Minimum Qualifications Candidates should have: - Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program - Active **New Hampshire Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)** license through the NH Regulation & Licensing Department - Current NBCOT Certification - Ability to practice under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist - Experience working with pediatric or school-age populations - Knowledge of sensory integration principles and developmental/sensory-motor interventions - Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills - Proficiency with technology and electronic documentation - Successful fingerprint/background clearance - Ability to build positive relationships with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality ### Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to actively participate in school environments and assist students throughout the day.
