The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for the delivery of optimum care to patients while in the Pre-Op, PACU, Phase II, OR, and Procedure Room areas of the surgery center, under the supervision of registered nurses. This is part-time (0.8) role M-F, varying days and hours. 8-hour shifts, 32 hours per week. Hours range from 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM start and end of day by 7:00 PM., working in Pre/Post-Op in our surgical center out of Plymouth. Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare. **Essential Functions:** - Assists with rooming patients, taking vital signs, documentation, changing patient into preoperative attire, and implementing warming measures, as necessary. - Assists in transferring patients from Phase I to Phase II. - Assists in patient discharge, including assisting patient to dress, and transporting to awaiting vehicle via wheelchair if indicated. - Assists patients with activities of daily living in the ASC. - Assists physician in procedure room, as needed. - Initiates and independently follows all cleaning checklists and restocking of all patient care and work areas. Assists in maintaining inventory levels throughout the center. - Floats readily between all areas providing help as needed. - Prioritizes and provides care based on the individualized plan of care, flexible with staffing needs and assigned duties of the ASC. - Applies principles of aseptic technique, standard and transmission precautions. - Assists with data entry as needed. - Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of special needs for various age groups including child, adolescent, adult and geriatric when providing perioperative experience.
