Provide direct care to residents. **Job Responsibilities:** - Administers and documents medication and treatment as directed. - Observes, records, and reports symptoms and conditions of residents that could be related to medication interaction, adverse drug reactions, or a side effects of the medication. - Stores medications in a safe and accurate manner while keeping medication areas clean and orderly. - Monitors medications to ensure they are refilled as required by policies. - Obtains vital signs and weights on residents as assigned and directed. - Performs CNA duties when required. **Job Qualifications & Skills:** - Current Certified Medication Aide/technician certification in good standing in the state in which the facility is located - Knowledge of safe medication administration technique - Ability to recognize complications and adverse effects from medication - Basic computer skills - Demonstrates patience and empathy
