# Central Supply Clerk, Full-time ## Position Summary The Central Supply Clerk is responsible for receiving, organizing, maintaining, and distributing supplies throughout Hopedale Medical Complex. This position ensures that departments have the necessary supplies available by maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, processing requisitions, and supporting efficient supply chain operations. The Central Supply Clerk works closely with vendors, department staff, Inventory/Purchasing personnel, and other members of the healthcare team while maintaining accuracy, organization, and excellent customer service. ## HMC Offers - Excellent benefits package (for eligible employees) - Quality childcare located on site - HMC Wellness Center membership - 401(k) plan with employer match ## Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Receive, inspect, label, and properly store supplies throughout the Complex. - Complete daily administrative duties including answering telephones, filing, faxing, and processing documentation. - Perform inventory counts of departmental storerooms and restock supplies according to established par levels. - Process supply requisitions and deliver requested items to departments throughout the Complex. - Maintain accurate inventory records for supply receipts, disbursements, and adjustments using computer systems. - Receive and verify supply deliveries from vendors and reconcile purchase orders with packing slips. - Apply barcode labels to patient-chargeable supplies and verify accuracy of labeling. - Maintain organized, clean, and properly stocked supply areas. - Rotate inventory regularly and monitor expiration dates to ensure proper product usage. - Assist with scheduled cycle counts and inventory audits. - Complete forms printing and supply-related administrative tasks for departments throughout the Complex. - Assist Inventory Analyst/Purchasing and Courier functions during absences or as needed. - Participate in required training, quality improvement activities, and department initiatives. - Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. ## Required Qualifications - High school diploma or GED required. - Valid Illinois driver's license with acceptable driving record required. - Proof of automobile insurance required. - Basic computer skills required; experience with inventory systems preferred. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to accurately review, proofread, and verify documentation. - Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Professional and courteous when interacting with vendors, staff, and healthcare professionals. - Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities. ## Physical Requirements The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. - **Constantly (67–100% of the time):** Standing, walking, talking, hearing, near visual acuity, computer use, and use of hands and fingers for inventory management, documentation, and supply handling. - **Frequently (34–66% of the time):** Reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and operating carts or equipment. - **Occasionally (11–33% of the time):** Lifting and carrying supplies weighing up to 50 pounds; moving supply carts, equipment, or other materials. - **Rarely (Less than 10% of the time):** Climbing ladders or working at heights.
