The ideal candidate will perform field inspections along with using material sampling, testing equipment and approve testing procedures. [Lochner – learn more about us](https://www.hwlochner.com/about/) Your impact: - Performs field inspections and assures that work meets standards and specifications. - Uses materials sampling and testing equipment and approved testing procedures. - Inspects traffic control and helps contractors maintain workplace safety standards. - Creates timely and succinct documentation of construction activities and inspection findings. - Operates company vehicle traveling to construction sites or delivering materials samples. Who you are: - 2+ years of construction inspection experience - heavy highway/roadway construction experience is preferred. - A general knowledge of construction techniques and an ability to read plans and specifications is mandatory. - Must possess a valid Kansas driver license and maintain a clean driving record. - Requires good communication and documentation skills - must possess the ability to communicate findings or instructions with engineers, other inspectors, and material testing technicians. - Must be able to use an IPAD or equivalent to log daily inspection reports. - Job duties require travel anywhere in the state depending on project location. - Some overnight stays may be required for remote projects.
