The Driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to our dealers, distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service. **There will be up to two nights over the road that will take place two to five times out of the year.** **KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** - **Driving Long Distances:** Transport goods to various destinations, often across state lines. - **Cargo Management**: Load, secure, and unload cargo safely. - **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of working hours and miles driven. - **Vehicle Maintenance**: Perform regular inspections and maintenance of the truck to ensure it is in good working condition. - **Compliance:** Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies. - **Route Planning**: Use GPS and other tools to plan efficient routes. - **Communication**: Coordinate with dispatchers and communicate effectively with clients and co-workers. - **Safety**: Monitor traffic and weather conditions to ensure safe driving practices ## Qualifications **REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES** - Class A Commercial Driver's License. - Clean driving record. - Minimum of two years experience as a truck driver, preferably with long-haul driving. - Ability to pass a drug screen and background check. - Willingness to tarp and strap flatbed loads. - Experience operating trailer mounted forklift. - Familiarity with electronic equipment and software, such as GPS and AVL units. - Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including loading and unloading cargo ## Additional Information Site Address: 490 Oak Rd, Ocala, FL 34472 **Why work for Cornerstone Building Brands?** Our teams are at the heart of our purpose to positively contribute to the communities where we **live, work and play**.
