Trinidad Benham Corp has been in business for over 100 years, and we know a thing or two about providing stable employment and growth. ### WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING The **Truck Driver – Commercial Driving** position is responsible for the delivery of product to our customers and other Trinidad Benham facilities utilizing combination Dry Van or Hopper trailers. - Delivery of product in truck - CDL Class A with manual transmission required. - Operation of truck to deliver and pick up loads as requested by shipping and receiving department in a safe, efficient, timely, and legal manner. - Daily truck and trailer inspections prior to use. - Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately. - Complete all necessary paperwork and electronic logs in order to maintain accurate records for all trips required under state and federal laws and regulations. - Maintain expense log with all receipts. - Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance, including keeping the tractor clean. Communicate with management and maintenance personnel on a timely basis to facilitate maintenance and repairs. - Comply with company safety policies and maintain a clean and orderly work area. - Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures, including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms. - Provide support to plant operations as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by Shipping Supervisor or Lead. ### WHAT YOU NEED MUST-HAVES: - High School Diploma or GED - Commercial Driver License in good standing - One year over the road experience - Knowledge of all applicable DOT and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY: • Ability to perform basic math skills. • Effectively communicate questions, problems, and reports to co-workers, supervisors, and management personnel. • Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed. • Ability to obtain a Powered Industrial Truck certification. • Must display a positive attitude and work well with all levels of personnel. WORK CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT - Frequently (more than 25% of time) required to: stand and/or walk, use ladders, climb stairs, bend and stoop, reach, push/pull, kneel and crouch. Lift, carry and/or move items up to 100 pounds, without assistance; use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls, to verbally communicate; and to hear.
