CDL Class A Driver (Transport)- Sioux Falls, SD

We currently employ over 1,800 employees company wide and over the years we have expanded throughout the Midwest. **Job Summary** The CDL Class A Driver (Transport) is responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination or straight truck to transport parcels between terminals. **Hours and Wages** - Monday-Friday, - 10-15 hours of overtime expected each week - Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week - $23.00-$27.00 per hour, based on experience - +$5.00 shift premium for start times between 5:00pm - 4:59am **Duties and Responsibilities** - Conduct a pre-trip inspection before driving to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order - Turn in pre-trip form and complete mileage and maintenance forms - Drive between terminals to transport parcels - Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and company safety policies - Wash the exterior of tractor and equipment daily - Assist other drivers with loading, delivery, or pick up as needed **Skills and Abilities** - Ability to operate a manual transmission - Must possess or have the ability to obtain a doubles/triples endorsement - Must possess good customer service and organizational skills - Must be able to work independently and make quick decisions **Education and Experience** - At least 21 years of age - High school diploma or equivalent preferred - Hold a valid CDL Class A driver's license with a good driving record that meets company standards **Physical Requirements** - Ability to pass a DOT physical - Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly up to 100 pounds occasionally - Full range of motion with no limits on grasping, standing, squatting, stair climbing, walking, etc. - Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals **Benefits** - Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO), Employee Assistance Program, 401(k) Plan, Quarterly Bonuses, and more. **EEO and Affirmative Action Statement** Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
